Click

Relationships are built when people interact and feel close to each other. Whether you’re familiar with the people you talk with or not, creates a huge bond in between. With the help of our dearest friend named the Internet, anything is now possible. Access to multiple information, talking about what’s trending at the moment, being able to connect with people far away, sending mails for professional issues, and a lot of other things are now a click away.

An average person spends 27 hours a week in front of a computer using the Internet. As they all say, being in front of something that makes you do things all at once would really pique interest. And as for the usage of Internet, people wouldn’t even notice how long they’ve already spent playing staring games with their computer than actually interacting with their surroundings. Indeed everything has its pros and cons. Access is one weakness of almost every individual. The Internet can access gossip about the hottest celebrities’ embarrassing moments, or either access to an activation of a bomb, access to a person’s personal profile and access to people whom we really long to be with. But with these being at only an arm’s length, comes a greater responsibility. A lot of news nowadays have spread out about people engaging with dangerous scenarios because of other’s easy access on their personal life. Or worse, there are several news which state that these encounters actually lead to death. The Internet doesn’t have barriers. People can say whatever they want to say. But we can’t avoid some negative comments which are invalid to other’s feelings that apparently lead to bullying. Though others might not realize the impact they have by degrading an individual’s moral, people with the right knowledge should help raise awareness with what’s really happening to our world. Internet has now become a daily ritual for most humans. By doing so, we could actually create new relationships or repair rusted ones. Yet by also doing so, we isolate ourselves to the actual people around us. It’s all about balance. Balancing your time in front of something that doesn’t even talk and someone who actually tries to reach out, balancing the right words to say in order to dodge people feeling negatively about themselves, but most of all, balance with how you use the Internet. It’s actually pretty amazing how when we’re using the network, brings us to a different world where we can imagine and create our own stories. The Internet is our escape.

The ability to communicate, work, play and do business via the Internet breaks down our ties to local communities and causes us to become socially isolated. It is ironic that we seek companionship by using the Internet without even fully realizing that we are drifting away from other things. We must always be wise with using the Internet because we’d never know that our own opinions might clash with others and apparently ruin our ties with them. The easier the access, the bigger the responsibility. Clicking is as easy as moving our muscles in our hands and hovering over that send or like or comment button. But the content of whatever we’ll send could actually affect others life. Be considerate. The Internet is one of the greatest inventions and we must use it wisely. We must use it for a good cause and not for  destroying. The goof it accomplishes will actually vary on how we choose to use it. Click wisely!
